Being a painter is as much an act of surrendering to a larger consciousness as it is an expression of creativity. My work is like a journey without a roadmap; I never know exactly where it will lead, but it is very clear when I have arrived.
Each painting is an act of courage, of integrity, and of intent. My artwork is about transformation and connection, the transitioning from darkness towards light.
As many as 40 layers of paints, varnishes, or resins comprise the total work, and each layer is part of the process. Music and meditation can transport me into a creative space where I can focus intently. My paintings are an intentional act to bring light to the world. I believe that if the expression is truthful, people can feel it.
I feel a sense of oneness with my work that I have not found elsewhere in life.
